Mr. Kojima created these wood curved cats, dolls, trains, shops, restaurants, etc.
He taught himself how to work with wood material in 1970s. He loves the texture of wood, and he treats his creation with care. His works have their own grains from the original wood. His dolls are made by different woods and named after the type of wood used such as Walnut, Chestnut, Maple, etc.
Mr. Kojima has an atelier in Kanagawa prefecture. When you visit him you can smell the fresh wood and hear wood carving sounds. You can enjoy his creations in his DVD and at this website (short version).
